Remember when a kickabout was the best part of the week? Before it became 'training'. This is that again. Grab 5 to 8 mates, we sort the pitch, the ref, the fixtures and the ladder. All you bring is boots and shin pads.

Not sure? Most new teams start in Super Social and move up.
One fee for the whole season
Your team pays once for all 12 weeks. Nothing to pay at the venue, no surprise fees. With a squad of 7 to 8 players it works out to about $13 to $15 per player a week, and teammates pay their share in the app so the captain never chases money. Playing solo? Individuals pay $225 for the season.

- How much does it cost to play 5-a-side soccer in Moorooka?
- Teams pay one fee for the 12-week season, with no weekly fees and nothing to pay at the venue. With a squad of 7 to 8 players (5 on the pitch) it works out to about $13 to $15 per player a week, and teammates pay their share in the app. Individuals pay $225 for the season.
- I do not have a team. Can I still play?
- Yes. Register as an individual and we place you in a Moorooka soccer team with other solo players, so you do not need to know anyone.
- What skill level do I need?
- None. The Super Social division is built for beginners and people who have not kicked a ball since school. Refs help you learn as you play. Teams with a few seasons behind them play in the Social division when it runs.
- Is there a Mens comp and a Mixed comp?
- Yes. Moorooka runs both Mens and Mixed 5-a-side comps. Mixed teams are open to all genders. Check the live start dates on this page or check availability to see which has room this season.
- Where are the games?
- Two outdoor 5-a-side pitches side by side at Moorooka Social Soccer, 101 Vendale Avenue, Moorooka. Free parking right next to the pitches, and the licensed clubhouse is open on Wednesday nights for a drink after your game.
- What do I wear on my feet?
- Sneakers, astroturf boots or moulded studs. No blades or metal studs. Shin pads are mandatory for everyone on the pitch.
- How old do I need to be to play?
- SportUP comps are for adults, so all players must be 18 or over.
- When does the next season start?
- Seasons run back to back all year. The live start dates on this page show the next Moorooka soccer season for each night, or check availability to see what still has room.
Pitch time goes fast
Most people don't quit playing. They just sort of stop, and a few seasons go by, and then it's "next year". This is next year. Moorooka runs a limited number of teams per comp, so if you're thinking about it, this is the bit where you stop thinking.
